About Whitbread Goldings Variety (WGV)

Whitbread Goldings Variety has a distinctive and robust flavour and although Goldings features in its name, it is more likely to have Fuggle pedigree, based on its Farnesene content.

Breeding of Whitbread Goldings Variety (WGV)

An open pollinated seedling of Bates Brewer, selected in 1911 on the Beltring, Kent farm of the late Mr E A White, which was later bought by the Whitbread Brewery Company.
