About Progress
Progress makes an excellent bittering and late aroma hop.
Breeding of Progress
Originally introduced as a replacement for Fuggles. A seedling of WGV crossed with OB79, it was developed at Wye College in the UK in 1951 and released for commercial growing in 1964. Progress is a tall hop with a cone structure similar but more open than that of Fuggle.
